There is a company called Nortek that makes sensors that Chris uses for work to measure waves and currents. This is a picture of him deploying one of the sensors on a tripod mount that he designed for Hanauma Bay. The picture was on the Homepage of the Nortek website (http://www.nortekusa.com). Pretty cool.
