New Addition to the Family
This here is the newest addition to the Kontoes Family. It is a 1976 16 foot tri-hull motorboat. It has a 70 hp 1975 Evinrude outboard motor and with 2 people, it planes quickly and maxs out at about 26 mph. So far I have gone out of Haleiwa, He'eia (Kaneohe Bay), and Waianae harbors. I SCUBA dove at Sharks Cove and the Mahi shipwreck from it. Aslo have gone out to Kaena Point and fishing buoy "R." Jackie and I have also taken it to Waimea Bay, swam to shore and jumped off the rocks. Plans for summer include overnight in Waimea! I also want to SCUBA at some more shipwrecks in Waikiki. It's been fun. Gotta love days off in Hawaii (got waves = go surf; no waves = time to fish and dive).

Cruise Pics
Here are some of the stills from the Northwest Hawaiian Islands.
Fishes view of us towing from the boat.
This is what we drove the boat in (about 2 ft deep).
Huge net before pulling it into the boat.
Part of a possible shipwreck we found.
I took this pic of a whitetip shark coming straight for me, hoping it would turn...it did...about 3 ft from me!
My favorite pic of me and a Monk Seal (Endangered Species).
